Here is the underrated and excellent compilation by the great Japanese label, Alchemy Records. This is one that has been known to give PSF's Tokyo Flashback Comps a run for their money. If blissed-out, feedback drenched psych is your mojo, then stick your dick or vagina in the mashed potatoes because it's going to be that kind of party. Peruvian Cumbia ala Chopped and Skrewed?!

So I stumbled upon a blog called Murky Recess that posted a mix of slowed down Peruvian chicha music now going by the name of Cumbia Rebajada. It's incredibly catchy and you can't help imagining South and Central American kids getting their kicks out of this while huffing glue and paint thinners. PSYCHEDELIC.

I can't think of a song that is raunchier and it's not because it was in a Tarantino rape scene. The saxophone has more attitude than a puerto rican bank teller but in all seriousness, Tarantino has good taste in music. He continues to surprise me with his selection of quality tracks in his movies, literally, bringing them back from the dead. Think of him as a musical Jesus, rising zombified surf and soul tracks from their wake.
